Story
My husband has been a patient on and off at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for a while now and it has been necessary for me to stay overnight at times to be with him. The hospital has a relatives accommodation block that is run by a Trust, it's basic accommodation but, at half the price of staying in a hotel, it is a life saver to people like me, who live miles away from the hospital and can't afford to stay in a hotel. There are small televisions in the rooms but, unfortunately, funds are unavailable to replace them once they stop working. Having a television to watch, after the evening visiting time with your loved one has ended, helps so much, at an otherwise trying time, to make life a little easier. I would like to raise enough money to replace all of the televisions or even just the broken ones, if I can't raise enough money for televisions all money that is raised will go towards other refurbishments, to give some comfort to other relatives in the same position as myself.
