Weʼre raising £300 to I want to help buy children's defibrillators for schools, sports centres and other public places. Currently, there aren't enough available.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
My name is Emma Docherty and I am 12 years old. I am raising money for a cause that is very close to my heart.
On the 4th August 2017, 10 year old Jayden Orr sadly passed away while at a sport centre, practicing his passion in life - ice skating. Had there have been a defribullator within the premises, Jayden may have had a better chance at living then he did without one.
Jayden was a wonderful child and was loved by so many. His death was a tragic loss to his family, friends, his school and the community as a whole. His life was cut short.
I am cutting my hair to raise money and awareness about Jayden's Rainbow. My hair is currently 26 inches long. I am cutting off 13 inches, I am literally cutting it in half.
Jayden's Rainbow's aim is to raise money, buy defibrillators suitable for children and provide schools, sports centre's and other public places with these potentially life saving pieces of equipment so that no other child misses out on having a better chance, if needed.
My hair will grow back, it will take a long time but it will grow. In memory of Jayden, who's life was cut short, I'd like to help make sure other children who find themselves in Jayden's position, have the chance to grow too.
Please help me help this amazing charity. Thank you.
