Story
This year I am running 10 10km races to help raise money for dementia charities, specifically for Kettering General Hospital and their new dementia garden.
My next race is April 17th in Regent's Park, London, and will be the third of my ten races.
Last August we lost my stepnan June. She suffered from dementia and spent her last days being cared for at KGH. Raising money towards their dementia garden seems a fitting tribute to an amazing woman, and something I'm excited to help with.
I do not like running, and I am not particularly good at it. I decided that in raising money, particularly asking for sponsorship, I should find a way to challenge myself and do something I'd find tough.
Anything you can spare would be amazing. KGH are looking to raise a total of £10000, so I really hope I can help to make a difference. Dementia is a cruel illness and it affects so many elderly people. So much needs to be done to help those suffering from this illness, and I'm glad to be doing something to help.
Thank you so much for your support.
Love,
Georgie
