Jane Burn, the uniquely wonderful poet, has achieved a major recognition of her work: she has won the main prize, the Silver Wyvern, in the Poetry on the Lake Competition. Hooray! There is just one problem: the organisers can't afford to fly Jane out to Italy to read and collect her prize, and Jane can't afford the expenses herself. Cue huge disappointment for Jane.

But now we, her supporters, can join hands, lift her up, and carry her there! (Not literally.) Fortuitously, fellow poet Bernie Howley will be at her place not far from ORTA SAN GIULIO where the festival is held, and has already offered to meet Jane and generally host her for the weekend. Wow! That is so generous! Can you pitch in and support that generosity by contributing something to the 'Get Jane to Orta' fund?

The £425 target is to cover: travel to the airport, air fare, a new passport for Jane (she rarely travels), water taxi fares to the island on the lake, land taxis around to the different venues, other incidental expenses, and some expenses for Bernie.
