In June 2016, Adam had an accident that has left him with an Acquired Brain Injury (severe brain damage). Since then Adam has been in inpatient in the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald. Adam is totally dependant for all his needs, has limited means of communication and ,as yet, is unable to come home until home is adapted for his complex needs.
With the help of his Doctors, nurses, physios, OTs, SALT, HCAs and many others (including no small amount of his own stubborn pig-headedness) , Adam has made remarkable progress and is continuing to surpass all medical expectations.
A number of people have asked how they can donate to help Adam and to help us adapt our home to allow us to look after him safely with the equipment he needs. Any donations will be used for Adam and anything to help with his care.
