Weʼve raised £400 to buy me a new wheelchair

    Braintree, United Kingdom
Funded on Saturday, 10th February 2018

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

It feels strange to look back at my gymnast days, it’s awful to have gone from an athletic, hyper child, to being stuck in a wheelchair. But this is my life now, and i’m not going to let it stop me from having fun.

Hey i’m Sophie, i’m 16 and i’m from the UK. I love horses and have been an equestrian since i was two.

I have Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, verbal ticks. And i also have Scoliosis, hyper mobility and Chronic fatigue Syndrome. (CFS) my CFS affects me the most and i’m asleep for most of the day/for the whole day. I can’t walk very far without getting exhausted. My wheelchair i have currently, is giving up on us. Its so heavy and my mum struggles to lift it in and out of the car. I used to be a gymnast but i just havent got the strength or energy to do it anymore. It‘s horrible to have gone from, a hyper, bouncy, athletic child. To a girl who stays in bed all day and always feels like sh*t. My wheelchair is my legs some days. And i would love to have one that i can push myself in. As my chair is so hard to push And hopefully a new wheelchair would be more comfy too. The wheelchair i would love is a Quickie Xenon 2 SA. Thankyou so much to the people that help me with this. Means alot💛
