Scouting abroad

Red Street and Knutton scout groups are based within the borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme. Both scout groups have been running now for many years. Scout groups like Red Street and Knutton offer children from all backgrounds with/without disabilities and learning difficulties the opportunity to learn valuable life skills and grow with confidence. The children get to take part in numerous events and activities to help them gain the skills and confidence needed to provide our next generation the chance to thrive.

Scouts from both groups have been given the opportunity to take part in an international trip which will allow them the chance to travel to what is set to be a fun, yet educational trip to Gibraltar in October 2018, this is estimated to cost around £20,000. In order to allow us to take advantage of this opportunity we need to raise the funds to cover the cost of the trip, so we will be organising numerous fundraising events throughout the year in order to make this happen for our young scouts.
