Hi everyone

My MS has now moved on to Secondary Progressive stage and life is hard but I'm trying to get back a good quality worthwhile life, After 3 years I have started driving again in my adapted car as I no longer have the use of my legs. I now have to drive with hand controls and use a top box system to load my manual wheelchair it is great.

It means I have some independence but it's so very frightening.... but I've mastered it, my confidence is on its way back. But here comes the reason why I need to start a Just Giving Page and I need your help!

Since I got my new adapted Motability car and using all of the savings my husband and I had. I am now finding it impossible to get into and out of the car independently and need help from another person.

I have very recently taken up horse & carriage driving with the RDA. It has changed my life and I love it however this is not reason enough to get a grant on Motability to help me get a WAV.

I also need to have an electric wheelchair to drive from as I'm not allowed to drive from my manual wheelchair and because of the way the system works I cannot have a WAV and a powered wheelchair through Motability.

My mum has given me some money enough to buy a powered wheelchair however the advanced payment of a Drive from wheelchair accessible vehicle is around £10.000 My husband is no longer working due to my Multiple Sclerosis getting worse and me now needing help to do everything apart from driving so I’d really love to be able to carry on doing this... so if you can help in anyway it would be very much appreciated.
