Shri M.D Mehta High School is very close to my heart as I was taught at this school which is situated in Dhrol...a town that is very poorly developed. This Education Trust was established in 1973 to achieve the goal of Girls' education and women empowerment in rural areas.
There are more than 500 girls here who have a lot of strength and skills and every year their academic performance is excellent. However, they are unable to progress in life due to the very poor economic and financial circumstances of their parents.
M. D. Mehta funding is extremely limited, but we have so many amazing pupils who would benefit from improved facilities to get the best possible opportunities for further education such as technology, library, photocopying machine and a theatre to develop their cultural understanding of India.
We would like to raise £1000 which will help to provide the best possible education to our children who we would like to see doing well in their future despite coming from impoverished families.

Your kind donations will help to build a strong future for these children who are keen to get a good education despite living in a community where they are assumed to be destined for housewife roles.
