India Gunning was born 10 weeks prematurely in the February of 2010 and due to a birth trauma, has left her with a grade four bleed on the brain, now she will have to live with Cerebral Palsy for the rest of her life. She currently attends Rainbow House and Stick and Step in Liverpool for her weekly physio sessions and these have helped her progress tremendously.

However, due to the severity of her condition this still means that she may never ever walk unaided.

So it is my aim through running a once in a lifetime marathon.......definitely only once.......to help #TeamIndia raise money for a life changing operation called, Selective Dorsal Rhizotomomy, which costs in the region of £21,000 and can't be funded by our stretched NHS. The operation could strengthen and prevent the weakening of muscles that are normally used when walking, and will therefore hopefully significantly improve the quality of her future long life.

Her fabulous family, my extended family, have already raised c£15k so anything i can do to help add to the total would be amazing.

I watched India take part in a dance show with my nieces and her dazzling smile, tenacity and go getting attitude inspired me to do something crazy to help....like a marathon! Gulp! I'll be running in the Prague marathon on 7th May.
