Story
It all started in 2000, just after our daughter was born, Glen started taking seizures and began to lose his speech. It got so bad that he crashed his car during one of these seizures.
Within a week, Glen was diagnosed with a Grade 3 Brain Tumour (Oligodendroglioma Tumour), and required life-threatening surgery which removed 90% of the tumour, 6 weeks of intense Radiotherapy and 6 months of Chemotherapy. Even after all this treatment, the doctors told him he would only have 12 months; however, our prayers were answered and Glen went into remission, and stayed in remission until Jan ‘15.
In Jan ‘15, he began to experience the same symptoms and when I brought him to the doctor, we received the devastating news that the tumour had returned, so by May ’15 Glen went through another life-threatening surgery, which took twice as long due to scared tissue from the first tumour.
In June ‘16, after an agonising 18 months of radiotherapy and chemotherapy there was nothing more they could do. We were heartbroken, we had been fighting this poisonous, hateful disease for 17 years. So being told that this is the end, made us feel so alone. But, we were determined to find some way to help Glen, so after more research, we bought a Resonant Light machine at £7000, which emits frequencies as much as 30 times higher than other plasma emission “rife machines” in a 30ft radius.
I’m organising several fundraising activities within our community. The first is a fundraising night in the Kilmorey Arms Hotel, Kilkeel (8pm 3rd March '17), with a raffle, music, food and activities on the night. Other fundraising activities include: social media advertisements, posters, newspapers, and collection buckets in many stores.
Funds raised will be used to cover the initial cost of the pre-treatment analysis on the tumour tissue in a lab in Germany. After the analysis, a complete treatment plan will be designed for Glen. Costs needed for treatment, hospital and travel.

7 years agoLet me start by thanking everyone who donated to Glen's treatment fund in the past week, whether on this JustGiving page, in person or during one of the fundraising activities we had in the past week, we are forever grateful. Last tuesday, Glen turned 55 and Courtney and I helped him celebrate the day, with a wee cake. When I meant to Glen how the fundraising is going, he is so overwhelmed by the support and generosity of friends, family and everyone who has donated is showing towards him and our family. Thank you & God Bless!!
