Story
Gloucester AC clubhouse is used by local athletes from all age groups and physical abilities, with an ever growing disabled athlete following. The standard of facilities can only be described as " basic" . We are trying to improve things on a shoestring budget, using recycled items wherever possible. A major refurbishment is needed , but with the future of the clubhouse in doubt , is not financially viable. So volunteers are trying to make the best of the space and have already spent many hours improving the layout . Funds have run dry with still more work to do to make the clubhouse more hospitable for every day use and for the many competitions held here each season , both summer and winter. A major improvement would be to cover the fire damaged ceiling with plasterboard and to paint the whole room out. We also need to upgrade the toilet facilities from the 1970's.
Any help, even just £1 will help us and improve the facility for the many children and adults who use the track each week .
Thank you.

We saw Lorraine Shaw win gold at Manchester's 2002 Commonwealth Games. Years later I moved to Gloucestershire, was impressed that result came from the modest facilities you guys had. Happy to donate

My daughter is a member of the sprint squad at Glos AC . The clubhouse is cold and uninviting to visitors and the toilet facilities basic at best. We are just trying to improve things a little for the many people who use the club throughout the year .
