Story
On Wednesday 22nd November a number of community groups and volunteers will be participating in a sponsored “Spinathon” to raise funds for Good Morning Colin's Christmas Hamper appeal. The plan is to keep the wheels on the bikes spinning for 8 hours.
Last Christmas, Good Morning Colin (GMC) distributed over 200 hampers to seniors and vulnerable residents in the Colin area of Belfast. Hopefully, with your support, we can raise enough money to buy, make and deliver Christmas hampers to the most vulnerable members of our community.
The Spinathon will run from 1:00pm until 8:00pm and will take place in Sally Gardens Community Centre, Poleglass. A number of community groups and agencies are taking part and you can sponsor them in a number of ways:
- Make a donation on the day at Sally Gardens Community Centre
- Donate on this Just Giving page
- Sponsor an individual/group using their sponsor form (sponsor sheets available from or emma@newcolin.com or michael@newcolin.com)
Groups involved are:
12noon - 1pm: Colin Area Men's Shed members
1pm - 2pm: Good Morning Colin staff
2pm - 3pm: Colin Care staff
3pm - 4pm: Sally Gardens staff
4pm - 5pm: Colin Neighbourhood Partnership staff
5pm - 6pm: Colin Safer Neighbourhood Project
6pm - 7pm: Local coincillors and Glenbawn 'Spin Mums' group
7pm - 8pm: Colin Youth and individuals
