Greater Manchester & District (GMDCND) CND campaigns for nuclear disarmament, against war and for a sustainable environment. We support eight local peace groups across the region, organise peace education events and run campaigns against the arms industry in the North West, especially Elbit Systems in Oldham and MBDA Missiles in Bolton.

Campaigning costs money. To print leaflets, to book rooms, for travel to demos, for sticks for placards, to run a small office... all costs money.

This year, our income will be down by approximately £5,000. We normally raise a lot of money at Glastonbury Festival, by providing a property lock-up space and other services. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Glasto has been cancelled once again.

Our goal is to replace this lost income and keep up the campaigning pressure.
