With Love from Layla is a UK registered charity that I helped to distribute food to local vulnerable families over Christmas. I also discovered that they receive little in the way of funding.

Layla is 11 years old. She has been to work at the refugee camps in Samos and Skaramangas with her mother Zubia to help refugee children. The charity assists children throughout the world in need - including youngsters in the UK.

‘With Love from Layla’ has funded projects preparing and distributing food, funding staff, managing warehousing and logistics to get urgent aid to refugees. They have helped to set up a school, disabled children's play scheme and children's' cinema in refugee camps and have also supported an orphanage in Afghanistan and a water well project in Africa amongst other things.

In May 2017 I set off on a run to see how far I could go without stopping. I managed about 800 metres. On Sunday 8 April 2018 I will be attempting my 1st full marathon at the Greater Manchester Marathon. I am hoping to use this effort to raise funds to support With Love From Layla's fantastic work.
