    Story

While Scotland has been the home of organised archery since 1483, it's been over two decades since Scotland sent an archer to the Olympics Games - with your help we're looking to change that! The Scottish Archery U21 Pathway Academy is a program to support talented young archers to reach their full potential through provision of services designed to get them to their personal best.

The aim is to support them through youth competitions, introducing them to the needs of national-level representation and shaping them for entry into Archery GB programs. By enhancing and extending the program, we aim to help more young archers to reach their potential, supporting them from the earliest stage by meeting their sporting and psychological needs along with reducing the financial impact on families. As archery is a highly equitable and diverse sport, our program already includes both disabled and able-bodied archers, but we believe that with your help, we can increase equity further, enabling us to deliver more person-centric training and support.

To help encourage you to support the future of our sport, we're volunteering to go Bald for Gold!

For every fundraising milestone that we reach, a member of the archery community in Scotland will go under the barber's blade, and become a wee shiny baldy baldy heed. Our first volunteer was club president of Ayr Archery Club, Ged Laing. Second in the chair was Scottish Archery Sponsorship Officer, Ainsley Ward. And finally, as we hit our fundraising target, our final volunteer was U21 parent and compound archer, Graeme Boyd. Enjoy the videos!

It was a busy weekend at the Scottish National Indoor Championships in Largs, with all of our U21 archers walking away with medals at Junior level, and a number also beating Senior, more experienced archers. It just goes to show what providing coaching and direction can achieve - even small donations make a difference, so a big thanks if you already contributed! We're moving to the outdoor season now, with UK national competitions beginning in May, so the archers are already training hard and ready to show them all how we do things in Scotland!
