When I was in the Army, I spent 2 and a half years based in Cyprus where I witnessed unimaginable animal abuse and horrific neglect.

I refused to stand by and watch these animals suffer, so my wife and I stepped up and set up a not-for-profit organisation. Over the years this has grown in strength and become the registered charity known as United Kingdom Overseas Services Animal Welfare (UKOS).

UKOS Animal Welfare are here to help facilitate all the animal rescue services based on (or operating within) any UK military base around the world. We rely largely on the generosity of the public to allow us to continue our rescue work and prevent the suffering of countless animals.

If you know me, you’ll know I HATE running! But my passion for rescuing animals is so powerful, I’ve decided to bite the bullet and spend the best part of five hours running nonstop, in the hope to raise some money to help alleviate the suffering of these helpless animals.
