Story
Goole AFC need to raise much needed funds to protect our assets at our ground, the Victoria Pleasure Grounds. We would very much appreciate your help to assist us and support us by donating as much as you can.
Goole Town Councillors have stated that the new CIC who have taken over the running of our ground, would seize our assets - namely, the bar, kitchen, corporate box, press box and portacabin.
These assets have been funded, developed, equipped, furnished and maintained over the years by directors and supporters of the club and are now at risk of being taken away from our football club.
Councillor Head, has stated that we could retain what we took on the day from our assets but we would have to allow other users to run them as their own. While this would not affect us directly on match days, it does obviously throw up a number of logistical problems, that in a way affects the management of those particular assets.
As a club we are seeking clarity on the ownership of our assets and as such we are launching a crowdfunding page to obtain legal advice, initially to raise the sum of £5,000 (five thousand pounds).
We would appreciate any support you can give to our fight to retain our football clubs assets, which have been funded, developed, equipped, furnished and maintained over the years by directors and supporters of the club.

5 years agoWe have been informed that the CIC intend to take over our assets as of 01/10/19. There has been no consultation at all with any member of the football club. In the meantime, we have a FA solicitor looking at our case. In order to initially move forward we need to find £780 for them to look at the papers and give us some advise. The other £4200, is to action that advise. Every donation, however small is gratefully accepted. Thank you.
