Weʼve raised £755 to raise money for the Acute Stroke Unit Ward 41 at the RVI Newcastle in memory of my mum by cycling the C2C

Funded on Sunday, 2nd December 2018

    Story

I want to help Ward 41 at the RVI Newcastle and give something back to them for looking after my mum last year after she suffered a stroke and passed away suddenly after a short spell in hospital.
I was devastated and think cycling turned into a coping method and would disappear for hours instead of sitting being angry and upset. So if I can cycle to raise money for the ward who looked after her it would mean alot to me knowing that I'd be helping other families affected by strokes.
I'm attempting to ride the Coast to Coast cycle route from Whitehaven to Sunderland which is 135 miles in one day on the 18th August 2018.
Wish me luck. Miss you Mam

We made it!!! C2C in one day raising money for the stroke unit at the RVI in memory of my mam. We left Whitehaven at midnight and arrived at Sunderland at 5pm Thank you everyone for sponsoring me and family being there at Sunderland to see us finish even though I kept you waiting... Sorry!!! Emotional when we dipped the wheels to finish but I am proud to have done 138 miles in one go to give something back and help others. Shattered today and will be on the sofa avoiding the stairs and sitting down 😂 Target smashed THANK YOU!!!
