In order to raise funds and awareness of his charity's work in the local community, Andy Reid MBE has set out on a challenge to climb Kilimanjaro. The intent is to summit 13 years to the day that Andy stood on a Taliban improvised explosive device while on patrol in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

I have been fortunate enough to have been offered a spot on the support team of this challenge with our aim to raise as much money as we can that will go in helping the charity help those in the community.

Andy set up the Standing Tall Foundation in March of 2020 with the charity's objectives: To promote the physical and mental health of the public through the provision of (but not limited to) counselling, drug and alcohol dependency support and physical activity initiatives and relieve poverty among the homeless or those in financial need through the provision of grants, items and services to individuals in need.
