I'm running the Dublin Marathon to help raise money for Belfast Arthroplasty Research Trust (BART). Arthroplasty simply means joint replacement and BART is Northern Ireland’s Hip and Knee Replacement Research Charity. They are a little charity but they do big things!

As a physiotherapist at Musgrave Park Hospital I can see first-hand the difference their research can make to patient outcomes. This work is becoming more important as we all get older and more of us need new hips and knees. In fact, it is predicted that by 2030 the number of patients requiring a new hip or knee will have doubled. With your help we can make people more aware of BART and so help them raise more funds to really improve the care we give to patients through their research.
