    Story

    Green Machine Tech Amnesty

The Coronavirus pandemic has forced children to study from home indefinitely. Unfortunately many don’t have access to a tablet or computer required to be able to do this and so are missing out on valuable education and interaction with their teachers and classmates. By donating your old tablets and computers to the BIG Tech AMNESTY we can help fight digital poverty together and make a massive difference to the children and schools who are struggling with home schooling right now.

The Big Tech Amnesty is a not-for-profit scheme operated by Green Machine Computers. All donations are gratefully received and go directly to support children and schools in the surrounding areas.

Green Machine Computers has been supporting charities and SME’s for years with low to no cost computer solutions through recycling old tech. Currently we have been donating all of the equipment we have spare to support local schools and those in need.

For Children, having a computer or tablet at home has become a requirement due to the current pandemic crisis, but not all households and children have access to one.

This Digital Poverty is seen across the local area with schools being allocated very few computers for children, Schools have approached us directly for help.

Unfortunately our Stock is exhausted and we have so many needing equipment, we need your help to replenish it and support us refurbish donations as they come in.

We have been supporting schools and individuals throughout the Pandemic and are continuing to offer support where we can, we have launched this fund raising page to allow those who do not have any equipment to donate but still want to help us.

On average it costs £50 to repair and refurbish and item and we would like your support in doing this. Covering the cost of parts and licenses.

Thank you for your continued support, with your help we can put a dent in digital poverty!
