Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Garden designer, Mark Pascoe from Solihull, is raising funds to create a remembrance garden in the heart of the Grenfell community. The 18m x 15m garden space of the Tabernacle Christian Centre, Latimer Road, North Kensington will be transformed in just one week in September 2018, with members of the local community volunteering their help.
Mark says, "when the Grenfell Tower disaster happened, the Church opened its doors to receive donations of food, clothing etc for the survivors; which spilled out into the garden. Planks were laid to bear the load, and as a result the original garden was destroyed." When Mark met a member of the congregation while on a garden job in the Midlands and they devised a plan of creating a garden, that would be a beautiful space for the community. Mark is donating his services free of charge and is now launching an appeal to help gather materials and funds to support the project and its future.

What a great way to remember the people that died and also the people that survived. Somewhere they can meet and talk. Also for people that visit can can see what it meant for everyone.
