I'm from England but had 3 happy years in Guernsey between 2000-2003. I'm a passionate supporter of Guernsey sport and having been to the previous 7 NatWest island games Gotland will be my 8th. The basketball teams have done an amazing job with their various fundraising initiatives but have still had to dig deep into their pockets to cover the full cost of getting to Gotland to represent their island. Having come very close to a medal last time out in jersey 2 years ago I think both teams have a great chance of a medal in Gotland. I heard the teams are in need of team travel bags to go to the games with and therefore I am running this Sunday's Father's Day Guernsey half marathon to help them out.
