I recently heard of a young lady called Marissa Warburton from Swansea. Marissa is a 25 year old young lady, who, at the beginning of her adult life has had one massive obstacle put in her path.
Marissa has been diagnosed with a grade IV brain tumor, which is potentially fatal. From what I understand, Marissa is a fighter, and does not want to be beaten by this hideous affliction.
Now, here in the UK, the NHS will do its best to help. But we all know how difficult a time our NHS is having with funding, and research. Marissa and her family have seen a potential light at the end of the tunnel. This light is the latest groundbreaking technology in Gamma Knife surgery, which is only available in the USA.
For Marissa to receive this treatment, they have to raise £100,000. A huge amount of money. And without guarantees.
But let me ask you a question. If your child was found to be in this position, wouldn't you try anything, anything at all to save your childs life ?
We all know the answer to that question.
So, with that in mind, and also being a father myself, I feel compelled to do my best for this young lady and her family.
So, I have booked a "SOLO" 10,000 foot freefall on the 30th of September of this year. I would like to raise £1 per foot with your help please. Now, that is 10,000 feet up, followed by 10,000 feet down. So, by my mathematics, that makes £20k. Will you help me please ? Will you help Marissa ?
