Emma was a full time mummy to 7 children until she was struck down with a very rare illness .
1 in 100,000 people suffer from idiopathic intercranial hypertension she is now waiting for her 40th brain surgery since being diagnosed with this illness IIH in August 2013

My niece has been seriously ill with a cruel illness called Idiopathic intracranial hypertension this has taken so much away from such a wonderful caring person.
Emma is 38 and at the age of 34 diagnosed with IIH in the last 4 years she has not had one day with out a headache, she has spent many hour, days, weeks, months, years in bed Not being able to lift her head off the pillow, she has lost 40% of her eyesight, she can hardly walk , has bruising on her body from continual injections, blood samples and scares from her 39 surgeries. Loss of hair from surgeries .
She has had meningitis, Loss of memory at one stage she didn't know who she was or who her children were for 4 days, blood clots, falls , , ,she hasn't been able to go out of the house on her own for 4 years and is now back living with her mum & dad for the last year and half as she is unable to be on her own.

BUT most of all She has missed out on so much of her children's life growing up in the last 4 years.
She has missed birthdays , parents evenings, 3 Easters, parties even a wedding due to being in hospital. Although the pain can not be taken away I would love to be able to take Her and the whole family to a hotel near to where we live, (as traveling too far would not be possible ) for one night only to celebrate Christmas TOGEHER AS A FAMILY to have a really happy memory .
