Help 2 Orphans (H2O) is an orphanage in Umphang on the Thailand/Myanmar border. The first 30 children were all Karen children whose parents had fled into Thailand to escape the war in Burma. H2O has also started a school to provide education to the local children of largely Burmese refugee community. To get to the orphanage, one will have to travel by local transport from the nearest airport, Mae Sot and embark on a 4-hour journey through one of the most tricky roads with over 1000 curves to Umphang where the orphanage is located, making foreign aid and visit extremely challenging.

Today, H2O is home to 40 orphans and its mission school has gladly received over 100 children. But with only 2 classrooms to spare, the rest of them have had to settle with having lesson in the foyer and church hall. Due to the increase in number, there is an urgent need to improve the infrastructure to accommodate both the orphans and children in school.

The five of us, Sai, Joyce, Kaili, Samuel and Mike are travelling to the orphanage for a week in order to help them build new classrooms and a dorm for 12 teenage girls. We will be spending time with the children, playing and teaching them songs, crafts and English to bring encouragement and be an ambassador of hope.

This is the first of such visit for all of us. We are nervous yet we have faith that He will guide us and be with us. So far we have funded most expenses for this trip ourselves. We are raising this fund to cover some local travel and transfer cost, accommodation and food while we are in Thailand. Below is the breakdown of how the proposed fund is intended to contribute towards our expenses in Thailand:

- Round trip local flight from Bangkok (Don Mueang) to Mae Sot airport

- Local transport (four-hour car journey from Mae Sot airport to Umphang where the orphanage is located.

- 9-night accommodation in Thailand

- Meal allowance
