Last year I gave birth to a very small poorly baby. He was IUGR baby and weighed barely 4lbs. He was pretty much admitted into Birmingham Children's Hospital from 1 week after birth and then went onto spend a good part of 7 months away from home in total there with various illnesses, complications and operations.

The past year has been one of the hardest of my life, but I am ever so grateful for everything that has been done for Haaris at Birmingham Children's Hospital. Which is why, after speaking and liaising directly with the Birmingham Children's Hospital Fundraising & Play Department at the hospital I have decided that I will be fundraising a sum of money on behalf of Haaris as a thank you to the whole trust at the hospital. All money donated will go directly towards the purchase of brand new books directly from Usborne Books and will be donated to each ward and department according to age, needs and infection control procedures.

The hospital itself is in desperate need of materials, books and toys to be replenished throughout, to keep up with the colossal influx of poorly children it sees through its doors every single day from all around the country.
