A good friend of mine introduced me to the inspiring work done by this organisation. In 2016 SAMS (Syrian American Medical Society) helped provide more than 3 million medical devices to people affected by crisis. There are many parallels to the ethics and moral code we hold dear here in the UK in trying to reach and help those most vulnerable amongst us.

Yeah but what are you doing Haider?

As many of you know i think im an athlete......despite my knees disagreeing. I'm also the bravest person i know..ehem...so i'm doing a 5k run in the scariest place known to man this side of the western hemisphere.... LIVERPOOL.

I'm hoping to volunteer in one of the missions in Greece to provide medical relief work in the near future - but will have to brush up on my medical arabic by then!

Hoping to raise around £500 for this excellent cause.
