Weʼre raising £4,000 to build a hostel in Nepal for children to stay in so they can attend school.
- Londonderry, UK
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
A team of 30 employees form Computershare will go on a 12 day Ghorepani Poon Hill trek in the Annapurn region of Nepal. Each employee is trying to raise a minimum of £4,000.
Computershare are funding all costs associated with the trek meaning that all money raised will be put towards the construction of a hostel allowing year 11 and 12 students to live on campus and attend the World Youth International School.
Currently some of the students travel great distances every day to get to the school and find it difficult to get there when the weather is poor. The hostel will allow students to live at the school, maximising their education, and provide schooling for students who didn't previously have access due to distance.
Any help you can give, no matter how small, will make a massive difference and be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the raffle for tickets to see Snow Patrol in concert - a massive £620 was raised for Trek Nepal. The winner was Ricky Nixon - congratulations. Unfortunately, I can't update the total money raised on this page with this amount because it was raised offline but I wanted to note it here. Thanks, Hank
