Weʼve raised £435 to build a buddy bench area and make a time capsule for when we all are able to return to site. Also some sail shades to create some shade.

Story
and Outreach 3Way is based in Crawley it is a day service for adults with learning and physical disabilities.
Last year at Outreach 3Way we raised enough money to build an amazing accessible recreation area onsite. Due to the current Covid 19 pandemic Outreach 3Way is closed, so unfortunately it doesn't look as though the recreational area will get much use in the next couple of months.
For the people we support Outreach is their pot of gold at the end of the rainbow of hope. They are missing the routine, their friends, the staff and being able to do all the things they love.
It would be brilliant to build a buddy bench area with sail shades in a sensory garden for when they return so they can share their experiences of these strange times. Also to build a time capsule for the future.

4 years agoHello everyone, We did it with thanks to you. We have ordered 2 of the benches below and we are very excited. These are fully inclusive wheelchair benches which will mean all the people we support can sit together. I am going to keep the fundraising page open as we would also like some sail shades for keeping the people we support out of the sun. Quite a few of them have sensitive skin or do not like direct sunlight. Please keep sharing our page and we can see what we can do. Thank you so much. xx

4 years agoWow....thank you so much everyone ❤❤ We now have enough for the bench and possibly a table. We are going to keep going and any extra will go towards making this area as amazing as possible. Sensory items, wind chimes, musical instruments. Maybe some sail covers for shade.
