    Story

Hello. First of all, thank you for looking at my story.

My name is Adam and I am 39 years old. In November 2017 I started experiencing back pains . I was told it was muscle strain however it never got better and I was referred for an MRI scan. The results showed a fractured vertebrae and an unknown mass. The doctors referred me to specialists. In the mean time the pain was unbearable and I was eventually taken to hospital.

Upon further tests it has transpired that I have adenocarcinoma (cancer of the stomach that is spreading through adeno glands) with a primary source of the upper GI tract. This has spread to my liver and spine. I have been told it is not curable and the general prognosis is 9-12 months. This has been a massive whirlwind of emotions and shock for my family and I.

This brings me to the very hard situation of asking for help. I have 2 lovely little boys, Zach (6) and Logan (4). Unfortunately, I don't have a great income and I am desperate to give my boys lasting memories of time spent with their father.

I have a list of things I would love to do before my time comes:

    - Before I knew about my illness I booked a holiday to take my boys to Disneyland Paris in September 2018. Unfortunately, I don't know if I will still be able to do this due to finance and time. I am hoping that with your help I will be able to take them, as it could be our last 'proper' family holiday.

    - I would like to be able to take the children on days out, places such as beaches, sea life centers, to the cinema and lunches -
Things that I haven't been able to do much of recently but these days bring memories.

-I want to give my boys the biggest and best birthdays this year. And I would love to do the same for Christmas as it will possibly be my last.

    - I would love to experience a day at a racing track

    - I also would love to raise money for Macmillan - a charity who have been absolutely amazing with me throughout this process. For every £1 donated macmillan will receive 25%.

Thank you so much for your time.

Hi all. We wanted to say thank you to everybody for their donations. You have all been so generous. Unfortunately, we have to inform everyone that Adam sadly passed on Friday morning. This all happened so quickly and so we didn't have time to organise Adams bucket list. However, we are planning to put the funds raised into 2 separate ISA's for his little boys and 25% will still go to macmillan. Also, we will update this page with information regarding Adam's funeral, if anyone wishes to attend please do get in touch. Thank you all again.

I'm pleased to inform you all that Adam was finally let home last night. After just over 4 weeks in the hospital we are all very happy for him. He is starting radiotherapy tomorrow and fingers crossed his overall mobility and pain will improve throughout the treatment. We would like to say a massive thank you to everybody who has donated so far. It really does mean so much to not only Adam but the whole family. We are touched. Thank you again. X
