Jo discovered yesterday that Mathie passed away in hospital on September 13th due to Lung Cancer. He had not asked anyone for support during his final days and it appears he had not told anyone about his illness.

His son Harley is now fatherless and Jo has no financial means to give Mathie a send off. Harley has Autism so may have difficulty grasping the sad loss of his Daddy. To help Harley through this Jo would very much like Mathies ashes to be inturred at Crawley Crematorium where she will be able to visit with Harley and help him to remember his Dad.

I didn't personally know Mathie so I am unable to write a fitting eulogy but I have seen lots of support for Jo, Harley and Mathies family in Scotland on her facebook announcement.

I am asking on behalf of Harley... if you would've had a beer with Mathie then please give a little something so that we can provide Harley with a place to be near his father. Please also share your memories of Mathie with Jo so we can make Harley a book about his Dad's life that he can look at as he grows up.

Jo will be announcing funeral arrangements just as soon as she can get everything in order.
