Hi, my name is Harriet and I am a second year student midwife. This year we are given the opportunity to choose a placement anywhere in the world to shadow midwives and work in different communities.

Myself and 6 other student midwives are travelling to Uganda with an amazing charity called Christian Relief Uganda (CRU). CRU supports a range of activities based on the work of Maria's care, a charity providing education, food, and sponsorship for deprived children in Kamuli.

We will be going to Uganda for 3 weeks where we will be working in a local hospital shadowing midwives. As well as this we will be seeing the amazing work Maria's care does at a boarding school that accomadates for deaf children among others.

CRU does amazing work in the Kamuli community and I am hoping to raise money to fund my trip and to raise money for the charity through this page. I will also be doing fundraising events with my fellow students in order to raise momey, so please follow our journey and come along to our events!
