Story
I am 14 years old and in 2019 I hope to go to Borneo with Camps International and my school, to work as a volunteer, to improve other peoples lives in the local community.During my 4 weeks stay I will be taking part in many projects including; building schools and bridges, for better access to school and toilet blocks which are lacking in many homes. We will be planting trees as part of the Reforestation Programmes and also helping to clean up beaches to recycle the rubbish. This is used by Local Women's Groups to make jewellery which they sell.Environmental Projects include visiting a Sun-Bear Sanctuary and the well-known Sepilok Orang-utan Sanctuary which need our help! Many children in Borneo who are not as fortunate as children in the Western world do not have an education. I would love to be able to teach them English and Maths during my stay.
This trip is a chance of a lifetime which will teach me many things and undoubtedly benefit me in multiple ways for the future.
THANK YOU KINDLY FOR ANY DONATIONS LARGE OR SMALL!
