The Playroom at Leeds Children's Oncology and haematology ward is a place that my family and many other families hold dear to our heart. The support they have provided for my family during such a distressing time has been something we can never begin to thank them for. Cancer in children is something that no one should ever have to deal with or even think about, but the work that the incredible staff in this playroom do, day in, day out, make some of the darkest days seem that bit more manageable.

As my 2 year old niece goes through her Chemotherapy, like many children who are going through this, she is beginning to lose her hair. Therefore, once my fundraising target has been reached, I will be shaving my head in support of my niece and all the other children who lose their hair. In addition to this, I will be waxing a different part of my body for every extra £100 we receive, ending with my armpits (EEK) if and when the total hits £1000.

The money raised from this, will be going directly to the playroom to give them the opportunity to update their stock of toys and also invest more into the amazing events they put on, on a daily basis.
