Story
Hiya after volunterring in Bristol for last five years, I wanted to do more to help. I started Outreach group on facebook Helphomelessbristol (Feel free to add yourself)
We currently go out every saturday providing food packs, hot drinks, Care packs, Clothes, santary towels for Women, shoes, hats, pop up tents & sleeping bags.
We are also working one on one with people taking them to doctors appointments and attending Job centre.
Everything is currently being donated from members within the group. The support has been amazing changing many peoples views on Homelessness
we have a Caterer who has been cooking up Home Made soups & Cakes. Along with volunteers making cakes, providing collection points accross Bristol.
This service is so needed we have been engaging with around 70 people within three hours (Too many are on our streets) Many being failed by the Government & different services.

6 years agoHello fellow supporters 👋👋👋👋 We are now trying to raise funds to purchase some form of van to transport the items we take out on OutReach weekly. We currently use our own personal cars needing three volunteers to drive. (My cream seats are now black) If we had a van it would make life a lot easier. The plan is to have our HHB logo on the van allowing people to know who we are. We would be able to use the van to collect large items help people move into accommodation and give them a lift to appointments. Please please share. 🤝

6 years agoLast night we attended OutReach as we do every Saturday evening. We were greeted with smiles with everyone very thankful for the items of food clothing care packs sleeping bags we provided. We were also able to give one guy a guitar which was donated by a member of our group after hearing his was stolen.
