5 years ago i lost my father unexpectedly to suicide. since then i have struggled with coming to terms with the realisation that the help is available for men, but its not as funded as it could be. myself, along with 4 of my closest friends, Stephanie Smith, Julie Dunne, Claire McGlynn and Jess Patrick are running a half marathon to raise money for Andy Mans Club a charity which helps support men, and raises awareness on the rates of suicide in men under 45. their goal is to half the amount of men in the UK, per year, taking their own lives.
