Story
I've been lucky to have been one of the thousands selected to walk across the brand new Queensferry Crossing on Saturday 2nd September and I want to take this chance to raise some funds for the Arran War Memorial Hospital on the Isle of Arran.
When my Mum was very poorly, the local cottage hospital nurses, doctors, and ALL the staff were brilliant, not only to Mum,but to us as a family. They made her last days so much easier for us all with their care and kindness. The also treated my Dad on many occasions too. This small but vital hospital is an essential part of Island life and I would just like to repay in some small way, what I can, in Mum and Dads memory.

A final update for my Just Giving page. So far I've raised over £350 between just Giving donations and money I've been given so I wanted to say an enormous THANK YOU to everyone who has donated. The walk itself was brilliant, the weather played ball and it was a gentle stroll across a very nice new tarmac road.The views were amazing too.I will be getting a cheque for £350.00 of too the Isle of Arran War Memorial Hospital this week. I know Mum and Dad would have been so chuffed to know this was done in their name. Thank you

7 years agoThe big day is nearly here and I can't wait!! I've even been reliably informed that the weather is going to play nice so that will be a bonus. I want to thank everyone who has been kind enough to donate for the Isle of Arran War Memorial Hospital. I really do appreciate it and can assure you that the money will be very well used.
