Parklands School in Helensburgh opened in 1993, a purpose-built school for pupils with Complex Special Educational Needs. Since then the range of provision has been extended and the school now meets the needs of pupils from pre-5 to 19 years with moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorders, complex and multiple disabilities and associated emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Helensburgh Dog Training Club has a long association with Parklands through the Therapets service. Therapets have visited Parklands on several occasions starting in 1995. One of the pupils has had regular visits by a Therapet for the last eight years. The visit are always a success and a pleasure to be part of. The dog club are proud to be supporting such a worthy cause.

We will be holding a charity dog walk in aid of Parklands at Duchess Wood, Helensburgh on Saturday 20th May.

Minimum donation on the day: £5 per Adult (children under 16 & dogs free). Additional donations through JustGiving are also welcome.

PLEASE NOTE: Dogs must be kept on a lead and under the control of their owners at all times. All dogs are the responsibility of their owners. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
