Story
The Heather Hopper is a community minibus which has helped to connect socially isolated older people living in the beautiful Esk Valley, which is a very rural part of the North Yorkshire Moors, for 15 years.
We run outings such as; lunches, shopping trips, cinema, theatres, concerts, coffee mornings, garden centres, weekly swimming trips, aqua fit, and many, many more places of interest.
Our focus is to provide a service to local people which will help connect communities, reduce isolation and increase a sense of wellness for our wonderful local people!
During the COVID-19 lockdown, we have been delivering delicious meals to single, older and isolated people in the local area.
If you are able to donate even the smallest amount, it will continue to support us in supporting our local community and the fantastic people within it - every penny helps.
