Today our 4 month old daughter Esme-Rose has been diagnosed with severe Brachycephaly with left-sided Plagiocepahly also known as 'flat head syndrome' This has caused the back and the left side of her skull to be flattened which in turn has caused her skull to bulge on the right side. Her forehead has also been affected and is beginning to bulge on the left side. Her eyes and ears are becoming rapidly out of alignment, if these issues aren't corrected they could have serious consequences for her sight and hearing development in the future.
The treatment for this is for her to be fitted with a special helmet called a Timband. The Timband gently directs growth to bring about correction. This treatment is not available on the NHS so we have had to seek private treatment. The full cost is £2,025, £600 has to be paid upfront before they can build Esmes helmet which she needs to be fitted with 2 weeks from today, 24/07/17. We also have to try and cover the 5% fees that justgiving take. Our plan is to also donate to a charity Headstart4babies in hopes we can help other children and families affected by this condition. More than anything we want to raise awareness!
We are appealing for help to raise the funds as we just can't afford it. Any help people can offer no matter how small would mean the world to us and our beautiful baby girl.
