Mark & I set up the club Warley WASPS Triathlon & Running Club in March of this year and we have gone from strength to strength. We are non profit making, totally voluntary and have very little funds. We work very hard 7 days a week to deliver sessions with the qualifications we have already however to enable us to bring the club forward and be able to coach we need to complete our Level 1 Triathlon Coach Award which is due to take place in January 2017. We are in the process of applying for a grant from Sport England to help the club with various things and some of the grant is of course to pay for things like this but unfortunately it does take some time and it isn't always guaranteed. Should we be lucky enough to get the grant, we shall of course use the funds allocated for the Level 1 courses to be put towards more courses for anyone else who is interested and/or our Level 2's. We also run Netherton Open Water Swimming in Dudley and would love to be able to coach people effectively into Open Water. To do this we need to be qualified as L2s so this is the stepping stone.
