- Liverpool, UK
- Funded on Sunday, 30th September 2018
Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
Unfortunately just under five months ago, my Dad lost his battle to cancer. Having been first diagnosed in 2004 - he managed a further thirteen years which he lived to the full. The picture on this page is him as happy as ever watching his beloved Liverpool in Istanbul 2005.
The last 10 days of my Dad's life were spent in Woodlands Hospice which is on the grounds of Aintree Hospital. Here he received amazing care, love and attention and ensured his last days were spent pain free.
We are trying to raise £1000 for the hospice so we can have a brass leaf on their tree of life engraved in his memory within the hospice. Woodlands is not government funded so we also want to give back what we can for the care my Dad received.
Me and a couple of my friends are planning to walk up Snowdon on Friday 13th (!!!) April to help raise any funds we can and i would be forever thankful for any donation you can give, no matter how small.
