I am raising money by climbing Cader Idris in Wales this summer. Cader Idris is 2930 ft high, making it the second highest in Wales (after Snowdon). I thought that this was a suitable challenge for this fund raising because I will be going to the Mongolian Stepp (which is pretty high). The money I am raising by climbing Cader Idris is to support the volunteering part of the expedition (I will also be doing several physically and personally challenging activities, such as a 5 day trek across the Mongoian Stepp).

Our volunteering work will be with underprivileged children in Ulan Batour, the capital of Mongolia. We will be working with a summer camp for children with little money. The children attend the camp while their parents are at work. We will be designing activities for them and working with them for 5 days. This summer camp is one of the few times that the children get to go out into the countryside and it keeps them safe (off the streets).
