In January 2011 my mother in law had a severe brain bleed which happened completely without warning and our world was turned upside down. The Neurosurgery team on Ward 4 at Hull Royal Infirmary performed life saving surgery and delivered first class care and we will be forever in their debt.

I would like to repay something back by running 13.1 miles at the World's biggest half marathon The Great North Run taking place on September 10th 2017.

All monies raised will go direct to the Neurosurgery ward who continue to help other families in need of urgent and life saving treatment.

Any amount no matter how small would be gratefully received.
