    Story

Mason is 15 years old mason has quadriplegic cerebral palsy mason also has blindness and epilepsy mason is 24 hour care and is non verbal and wheelchair bound mason has been on a life support machine twice in his short life and beat the odds twice.Mason wasn't expected to live when we had the heart breaking decision to turn off his life support machine in 2003 when mason had a drowning accident when mason had crawled into a bucket of water as a parent its totally heartbreaking the thought of losing a child we sat beside masons bedside in addenbrooks hospital for 14 days praying mason would pull threw doctors had no hope and said mason wasn't going to make the night family members gathered around masons bedside to say goodbye it was the worse days of our life's he was just 17 months old how can I say goodbye to my child he hasn't been in the world long it was devastating my little boy laying there and sitting there helpless and can't help him I prayed and prayed that my little boy would be ok and I would take him home to his brother and sister and family the time came when the doctors gathered in the intensive care unit to turn of his life support machine I'm whole body shook I felt sick and just lost u could literally hear a pin drop in the room we couldn't even speak I held my little boy in my arms as the doctor turnt off the machine tears was just rolling down my face I held mason so tight and thought to myself if my son die what would I do without him how would explain to his brother and sister that there brother wasn't coming home as the machine was turnt off mason little chest was slowly moving up and down I held his tiny hand and could feel a pulse mason defied the odds and continued to breath my son is alive mason is 24 hour care and is facing major operations but he is here we are hoping to raise money to build a sensory garden with spa to help mason with therapy and sensory light for his vision as mason has blindness this will help with masons therapy xxxxx
