    Story

Owen is 10 years old and has Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. He is a very fun loving boy, and always has a smile, however having cerebral palsy means he is unable to walk or talk but this does not stop him living his life to the full.

Owen was born at full term but had a few complications in the first few days. He was later diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 10 months old and from then on he has had many therapists and doctors involved but has never moaned just approaches it all with a smile and a wicked sense of humour. Yes we are biased but he wins people over with his character and personality. At the age of 5 years old Owen was then diagnosed with epilepsy which was always our biggest fear and again he never lets this get in the way of fun.

Owen attends a mainstream school and uses an electric wheelchair but sadly he has now outgrown this so the fundraising has begun. Sadly the NHS will not fund his new chair so this is where we need people's help. The chair is just in excess of £18,000 and we would really appreciate people sharing our page far and wide in the hope we can help our son maintain his independence and allow him to join in with his peers and 2 brothers.

Owen really is an amazing boy who is always happy and sociable, he's great company and always up for fun.

Thank you for reading our page and please share. Helen and Chris Kew (Owen's parents)
