£1,980raised of £5,000 target by 57 supporters

Weʼre raising £5,000 to Let My Daughter Christine See Some of World During 2018 - 2019.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

I'm reaching out to all kind hearted people on our planet. My amazing daughter Christine has a brain tumour and it's not curable. Over Christmas Christine told me she had come to terms with the diagnosis and she knew her time with us was limited.

Christine's only 31 and she has 2 beautiful boys, Jake 8 and Anthony 5, they are a family unit of 3.

Due to this awful illness Christine had no choice but to resign from her career as a racing groom and young jockey in Epsom. She also worked for a time in Newmarket and was mostly on top form racing up the heath early mornings, unless she had been to a night club the evening before! (I'll allow others to comment on this if they would like to add.)

Christine's love of horse riding was taken away from her at the same time that the DVLA took away her driving licence for the medical reasons. Her independence was lost.

Now to quote Monty Python 'What have the Romans ever done for us?' I can tell you Christine isn't a Roman but here's for a brief insight of my daughter. She has a heart of gold, always ahead of the pack when it comes to good deeds for others. During 2017 she tried to buy a coffee for a homeless man in her local branch of Costa Coffee a staff member refused to serve her. Not being put off by this she complained to the head office of Costa Coffee and they made her day by sending her a card which allowed that gentleman free hot drinks for a year. On another occassion more mind blowing to me she went up to Glenfell Tower during June while not feeling well and handed out her clothes. She came across a young boy and asked his parents if it was ok to buy him some trainers. Just little deeds to her but I was so proud of her.

Now back to Christmas 2017 I asked her if she wanted anything, her answer, 'I'd like to see a bit more of the world and take my boys on holidays during school breaks.' With that I showed her some travel brochures.

After a couple of hours she said...

I would like to go to Latin America - Iguassu Falls, Hike the Inca Trail or some of it, enter the Amazon and embark on a canoe trip, go to Cartagena in Colombia (she had seen some hammocks on a beautiful beach), Buenos Aires (live the life of a Gaucho!), Costa Rica..... ziplining in the rain forest.

I need help to make Christine's dreams come true and give Jake and Anthony amazing memories of their time left with their wonderful mother.

£5000 is just my starting point. I hope we can all raise more, I will be adding funds too. I'm hoping she will still be able to travel into 2019 I want her to be able to tell me all about her adventures.

Please share this across all social media.... I would like to thank you all in advance....

So our first trip was in the Lake District we have only just got back. I want to tell you all that Christine managed to get to Red Tarn 2356 ft above sea level walking on snow and ice. Helvellyn where Red Tarn is situated is the 2nd highness mountain in England. I'm feeling so proud of her. Never once did she say, 'I can't make it,' in fact her words were, 'I'm not giving in.' The 4 day trip showed both of us dreams come true. My daughter is amazing!
