Since she was two and a half years old, my daughter has had Ulcerative Colitis, and Interstatial Lung disease. As the years have gone on she has developed more issues, but tries to not let these things stop her. At eight years of age she had a Gastrostomy button inserted as she had not grown for three years, and needed to extra nutrition. At sixteen years of age she had an Ileostomy made. This impacted on her GCSE year and caused her to lose confidence in her academic and personal abilities. She did three years at college doing Criminology, Sociology, Psychology and Law GCSE in year one then BTEC Law and A level Psychology due to hospitalisation she was not able to attend her Psychology exams but got Distinction * in Law. She was offered a place at The University of South Wales to study Psychology over 4 years. She defered for a year due to health issues. She now also has Osteoporosis and they are trying to find the cause of her near constant pain. She is now set to start in September. Due to the location on the University she will struggle walking from accomidation to lectures everyday. She is not able to use her manual wheelchair due to the incline of the site. Please help her meet her true potential.
